Meat the Future panellist
Having grown up on a Rangitikei farm, Jack Moncton was keen to undertake a course of study that would provide him with choices around working in different areas of the primary sector.
Jack is a recipient of a Meat Industry Association undergraduate scholarship.
Now in the second year of a Bachelor of Commerce at Victoria University in Wellington with the support of the scholarship, he’s really enjoying the exposure to many different aspects of commerce. He’s also furthering his knowledge of the red meat sector by working part-time at the Taylor Preston processing plant on the outskirts of the city.
“Given my background, I’m keen to have a career in the primary sector. It’s an exciting part of our country’s economy and there are so many different aspects you can get into.”
