RED MEAT SECTOR CONFERENCE
Tākina Wellington Convention Centre
28 & 29 September 2026
Welcome
Tēnā koutou katoa,
The Meat Industry Association is looking forward to hosting you at the 2026 Red Meat Sector Conference in Wellington.
The sector plays a vital role in New Zealand’s economy and identity, delivering high-quality, trusted products to consumers around the world while supporting regional communities here at home. As we face a rapidly evolving global landscape, collaboration across a connected, forward-looking sector is more important than ever.
Along with our conference partnership sponsor Beef + Lamb New Zealand and MC Jehan Casinader, this conference offers a valuable opportunity to share ideas, challenge thinking, and explore practical solutions to the opportunities and challenges ahead. Attendees can expect insightful speakers from across markets and the supply chain sharing their views on how we can continue to enhance value, strengthen resilience, and uphold the standards that underpin our international reputation.
In the lead up to the General Election in November Wellington offers a fitting backdrop for these conversations, bringing the sector together with national policy decision-makers and government officials.
This conference is an opportunity to connect, share insights, and focus on how we can continue to strengthen our sector in a changing global environment, while also acknowledging its vital contribution to regional communities, export earnings, and New Zealand's economic strength.
With a welcome networking function on Monday afternoon, attendees who are traveling may wish to make the most of the trip. For more information about Wellington, or for ideas on how to make the most of your trip Visit Wellington – WellingtonNZ.
We look forward to seeing you in September.
